Cornelia C. Walther

Professor. Humanitarian

Dr. Cornelia C. Walther is a humanitarian leader with 20+ years at the UN, driving social change. She pioneers research on hybrid intelligence and ProSocial AI through the global POZE Alliance to build agency amid AI for all. Cornelia is an Associate Professor at Sunway's Institute for Global Strategy and Competitiveness, and a Senior Fellow at the Sunway Center for Planetary Health.  She is an External Expert for Hybrid Intelligence to the United Nations Populations Fund in Morocco. AI, and a Senior Fellow at the Wharton Initiative for Neuroscience in Business, the McNulty Leadership Center, the Harvard Learning and Innovation Lab, and the Center for International Governance Innovation. She is a Senior Advisor at the European Policy Center. Her 7th book will be published in May 2026 looking at AI4IA - Artificial Intelligence for Inspired Action. 

Cornelia holds a doctorate in Law and is a certified yoga and meditation teacher. In 2017 she initiated the POZE dynamic (Perspective – Optimization – Zeniths – Exposure) in Haiti, which has since grown into a global network of likeminded thinkers and doers around the world. The focus of her work is on social transformation from the inside out, starting with individual aspirations, including the exploration of methodologies that influences people towards wanting to get involved in inclusive social change processes.

Recent books include ‘‘Development, humanitarian action and social welfare’; ‘Humanitarian work, social change and human behavior’; ‘Connection in times of Covid’, ‘Technology, Behavior and Social Change’ and Leadership for Social Change and Development. [Macmillan Palgrave/Springer, New York]. These are available in German via Springer. In her endeavors POZE represents the dynamic that joins the aspiration for change with pragmatic action.
